COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 160 New Cases, Total Confirmed Cases Now 59, 287


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria on Saturday recorded 160 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking total confirmed Cases to 59, 287, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which disclosed this in its latest update.

Breakdown of the fresh cases of the virus, which are spread across 13 states, including the FCT, is as follows:  Rivers (42), Lagos (32), Plateau (21), FCT (18), Kaduna (14), Ogun (11), Katsina (10), Kwara (3), Ondo (3), Imo (3), Anambra (1), Abia (1), and Oyo (1).

Out of the 59,287 confirmed cases, 50,718 have been treated and discharged, while 1,113 fatalities have been so far recorded.
