COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 126 New Cases, Total Confirmed Cases Now 59, 127

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria reported 126 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, October 2, 2020, according the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, taking total confirmed cases of the virus in Nigeria to 59, 127.

Breakdown of the 126 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, which are spread across 12 states of the federation, including the FCT, is as follows: Lagos (62), Rivers (22), Ogun (9), Plateau (7), FCT (7), Osun (5), Kwara (5), Taraba (3), Bayelsa (2), Abia (2), Zamfara (1), and Imo (1).

Out of the total 59,127 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria 50,593 cases have been treated and discharged, while 1,112 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory since the outbreak of the pandemic.
