Fuel Subsidy: Eradicate Corruption, Don’t Kill Nigerians – Bakare

By Lucky Uwakina (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare, has appealed to the Federal Government to be merciful to Nigerians and not kill them.

Bakare said this while speaking on The Platform, a special programme to commemorate Nigeria’s Independence Day anniversary, where he urged the government to murder corruption instead.

Reacting to allegations that in 2012 he, alongside the likes of Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana among others protested against the Jonathan government’s plan to remove subsidy, said he  “campaigned against the oppression of the poor,” as the subsidy by the Federal Government was not used to advance the cause of the poor.
