COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 153 New Cases, Total Cases Now 59, 001.


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria on Thursday confirmed 153 fresh  cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), taking total confirmed cases of the disease in Nigeria to 59, 001.

Breakdown of the fresh COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, which  are spread across 14 states of the federation, including the FCT, is as follows: Lagos (81), Rivers (21), FCT (11), Ogun (8), Kaduna (7), Oyo (6), Akwa Ibom (5), Osun (3), Katsina (3), Edo (2), Ebonyi (2), Nasarawa (2), Plateau (1), and Kano (1).

Out of the total of 59,001 cases of COVID-19 infections confirmed in Nigeria, 50,452 cases have been discharged with 1,112 fatalities recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
