COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 213 New Infections, Total Confirmed Cases Now 58, 062

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria on Friday hit 58,000 COVID-19 cases, following confirmation of 213 new infections, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Breakdown of the fresh cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, which are spread across 17 states of the federation, including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is as follows: Lagos (51), Plateau (51), FCT (29), Rivers (18), Ondo (12), Oyo (9), Osun (8), Gombe (7), Ogun (7), Kaduna (5), Enugu (4), Edo (3), Jigawa (3), Kano (3), Benue (1), Delta (1), Sokoto (1)

Out of the total 58,062 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Nigeria, 49,606 have been successfully treated and discharged, while 1,103 deaths have been recorded across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory since the outbreak of the pandemic.
