Ondo Election: Stop Pressuring Security Agencies, INEC – Wike To APC

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to desist from pressuring the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to work in its favour, ahead the October 10 Governorship election in Ondo State.

According to Wike, who was speaking as a guest on Channels Televison’s Sunrise Daily on Friday, the APC was bent on doing anything untoward to win the Ondo Election, following its recent embarrassing loss in the Edo Governorship Election to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The governor said that the neutrality of INEC and the security agencies was necessary for a credible election in Ondo State, boasting that if this was done, the PDP would repeat the feat it recently performed in Edo State, adding that Nigerians were tired of the APC’s empty promises.
