Obaseki Won’t Bite The Fingers That Fed Him, Won’t Defect – Wike

By Amaechi Idumuebor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, is unperturbed about suggestions in some quarters that the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, could defect from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

According to Wike, Obaseki was clothed by the PDP when he was naked, welcomed into its fold when he was homeless, and had consistently given the assurance that he was not leaving, adding however that if he were to defect, there would be no problem as that was what politics was about.

Obaseki convincingly won the September 19, Governorship Election in Edo State, contesting under the PDP’s banner having defected from the APC, which denied him a ticket for a second shot at the governorship tiara.
