COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Confirms 125 Fresh Cases, Total Cases Now 57, 849


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria on Thursday confirmed one hundred and twenty-five (125) fresh COVID-19 cases, according to latest updates by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which disclosed this via a tweet on its verified handle late on Thursday night.

Breakdown of the new confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, which are spread across 12 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, is as follows: Lagos-37, Plateau State-18,  FCT – 17;  Ogun – 15;  Rivers -10; Benue – 7; Kaduna – 7;  Anambra – 5; Oyo – 3, Cross River – 2; Ondo – 2; Edo – 1 and Imo -1.

Out of the 57,849 total cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, 49,098 have been successfully treated and discharged, while  1,102 fatalities have been so far recorded since the outbreak of the virus, according to the NCDC.
