I’m Resilient, Strong, Hale, Hearty – Oshiomhole On Gov Obaseki’s Victory

By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole, despite the chastening defeat of his party’s candidate at last weekend’s governorship poll in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, says he is unperturbed about Governor Godwin Obaseki’s victory.

Oshiomhole’s reaction came via a viral video released on Wednesday, where he thanked Edos for their support, adding that in life you don’t win all the time as there were times when you must accept some form of lose.

According to the APC Chieftain, he remained strong and healthy, despite suggestions in some quarters that he had been broken by the outcome of the poll, saying that, “In life, you work hard and leave the outcome to God. You do your best and trust God to bless your efforts. I feel good, I feel strong, thank God. In life, you win some and you lose some but life goes on”, he philosophised.

Recall that Governor Obaseki was returned elected on Sunday, following a decisive victory at the poll where he recorded 307,955 votes, winning in fifteen out of 18 LGAs, to best his closest rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu – Oshiomhole’s candidate – of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who got 223,619 votes, winning in 3 LGAs.
