Edo Election: My Senior Brother, Please Come Back Home – Ize-Iyamu Begs Obaseki

By Olivia Isibor ( AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Following his chastening loss at the September 19, 2020 poll in Edo State, where he contested under the banner of All Progressives Congress (APC), against his conqueror, Governor Godwin Obaseki of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, wants Governor Obaseki back to the APC.

According Ize-Iyamu, who was speaking via a television broadcast on Wednesday night, all hands were on deck to reconcile all warring factions in the party, calling on the governor to return to his original family, adding that as his elder brother, he didn’t want the governor to make the same mistake he made.

Ize-Iyamu was roundly bested by Governor Godwin Obaseki in last weekend’s governorship election, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, which proceeded to award a Certificate of Return to the returning governor, who had defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), following his disqualified from contesting the APC primaries.
