COVID-19: We Might Stop Domestic Flights In Nigeria, NCAA Warns Airlines

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has warned that it might put a halt to local flights in the country if airline operators continued to breach COVID-19 protocols in its operations.

The NCAA’s warning was contained in a letter addressed to local airlines on Monday

According to the NCAA, defaulters of the conditions for the resumption of flights in the country would face “severe penalties” including “cancellation of approval to resume domestic operations”.

The NCAA pointed out that the resumption of domestic commercial flights by airlines was premised on their compliance with protocols put in place by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
