#COVID-19: NCDC DG Admits Decline In Cases

By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, has confirmed a decline in confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country.

Ihekweazu, who disclosed this during a press briefing in the nation’s capital, said that the Federal Government had observed a drop of 36 per cent in the number of infections recorded in August compared to those reported in July.

The DG, however, called for caution as there was no room to celebrate yet, as testing in many states was still very low.
