Over $800m Of Local, Foreign Investments Have Been Attracted To Kaduna State Since 2016 – El-Rufai

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Monday, disclosed that approximately $800 million of local and foreign investments have been attracted by the state since 2016.

El-Rufai made the revelation while making the opening remarks during the fifth edition of his administration’s economic and investment summit, KadInvest, where he also said that the summit was meant to display Kaduna, with the aim of attracting new investors, adding that Kaduna State had investment announcements of over $2.1 billion in 2020, ahead of other states in the country, stressing that his administration’s focus was to enable the private sector to create jobs.

The governor added that in 2014, the state was ranked 24, out of the country’s 36 states, including the FCT, by the World Bank, in its Ease of Doing business metric, jumping to the number one spot by 2018.
