Edo 2020: Beware, Obaseki Might Stage A Shocking Return To The APC – Bamgbose Warns PDP

By Lucky Uwakina (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Olusegun Bamgbose, the National Coordinator, Concerned Advocates for Good Governance, CAGG, has warned the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to desist from over celebrating the victory of incumbent Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, at the poll as he might stage a shocking return to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Governor Obaseki, who left the APC for the PDP, prior to the election, following his disqualification from contesting in the party’s primary election, pitched his camp with the opposition PDP for the governorship election, winning a second tenure in office at the poll held on September 19, 2020, besting his closest rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the APC with over 100,000 votes.

According to Bamgbose, despite Tinubu’s sucker punch from the hands of the Edo electorate at the poll, Oshiomhole’s final annihilation by Obaseki’s chastening victory, there was every likelihood that Obaseki would shockingly rejoin his former party, the APC.
