COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 189 New Cases, Total Cases Now 57, 145


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria has recorded 189 new COVID-19 cases, according to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), which confirmed this on Saturday night, taking total confirmed cases of the virus in Nigeria to 57, 145.

Breakdown of the new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, according to the NCDC, which are spread across  14 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is as follows: Lagos-70, Plateau-37, FCT-24, Kaduna-19, Rivers-12, Oyo-5, Ogun-4, Ebonyi-3, Katsina-3, Ondo-3, Osun-3, Imo-2, Yobe-2, Ekiti-1 and Nasarawa-1.

Out of the confirmed 57, 145 COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, 48,431 patients have been successfully treated and discharged, while 1,095 fatalities have been recorded so far.
