Lagos Approves Full Reopening Of Churches, Mosques, Schools, Except Pre-Primary

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has given the go-ahead for the full reopening of worship centres in the state, while private and public schools were directed to reopen on Monday, September 21, 2020. Pre-Primary schools would, however, remain shut.

The governor disclosed this at a press briefing in Lagos on Saturday.

According to the directive, Mosques could hold prayers five times daily, while churches could  commence weekly services, with a stern warning that COVID-19 safety protocols should be adhered to by all parties concerned.

Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, religious centres and schools across the country were shut down as part of measures to check the further spread of the disease.
