(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Edo State Governorship Election has commenced without hitches so far, with voters’ gearing up to exercise their franchise in all the wards across the state.
According to NAN reports, the massive security presence in villages, towns and cities across the state engenders hope for a peaceful, credible, free and fair election.
There is less traffic on the major roads in places such as Uzzebba, Igueben, Auchi, Ososo, Ekpoma, Jattu and Ughoton, etc, as the residents move to their respective polling stations for accreditation.
Reports also confirm that turnout of voters across the state is also impressive in the 193 wards in the state’s 18 local government areas.
In most polling units, security operatives arrived at their duty points on time to enforce restriction on movement of people and vehicles during election. According to NAN reports, security operatives are fully on ground at designated locations in the three senatorial districts of Edo South, Central and North. Boundaries, including Edo South — Idogbo, Etete/Adesuwa, Oluku, Upper Siluko, Ologbo and Eyean, same as in Ekpoma, Iruepken in Edo Central, Okepella, Jattu junction and Agbede in Edo North.
