(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria has recorded 221 new COVID-19 cases, according to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), which disclosed this via its verified twitter handle on Friday night, taking total number of infections in the country to 56, 956.
Breakdown of the fresh cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria is as follows:Lagos-59, Abia-46, Abuja- 22, Gombe- 20, Plateau-17, Rivers-11, Bauchi-7, Benue-6, Ekiti-6, Imo-6, Kaduna-4, Kwara-4, Ondo-4, Ogun-3 Osun-3, Bayelsa-1, Edo-1 and Kano-1.
Out of the 56,956 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, 48,305 have been successfully treated and discharged, while 1,094 fatalities have been recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic.
