Niger Delta Governors Stole N10 Trillion Derivation Fund In 18 Years – Farah Dagogo

By Lucky Uwakina (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – A Niger Delta indigene in the House of Representatives has alerted the public to the uncensored wastage of the 13 percent derivation fund by the region’s governors.

In a media parley in Abuja, the Member representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Farah Dagogo lamented the regular looting of the 13 percent derivation oil money, which is set aside to assist oil-producing communities tackle infrastructural decay and degradation, by the governors of the Niger Delta.

According to Dagogo, more than N10 trillion accrued to the Niger Delta region through 13% derivation in 18 years, but noted that infrastructure was still begging for attention in the country’s oil producing region.

Dagogo further disclosed that the State Governors of the region had received over N602.37 billion as 13% derivation fund from the Federal government between January, 2017 and April, 2018, with nothing to show for it
