Nigeria’s Democracy At The Brink Of Explosion – Uche Secondus To International Community

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, has alerted the international community that says Nigeria’s democracy was threatened by the culture of election rigging.

Secondus made this assertion on Tuesday during a PDP mega rally in Benin City, ahead of the Edo State governorship election where the party’s candidate Governor Godwin Obaseki will be seeking seeking re-election.

While lauding the move by the United States Government to discourage rigging by imposing ravel bans on some Nigerian politicians, secondus also called on the European Union, as well as the United Kingdom, to follow suit to discourage future rigging of polls in Nigeria in the future.

While leading other top PDP officials, governors and supporters to declare prayer points against those planning to rig the election in the state, Secondus commended Governor Obaseki for performing creditably since assuming office in 2016, calling on the electorate to “punish their common enemies by voting for Obaseki come D-Day.
