“Obasanjo Lacks The Grounds To Criticize Buhari”, APC Slams Former President

By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Sunday carpeted one-time military Head Head of State and civilian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, for his persistent criticism of the President Muhammadu Buhari’-led administration, following Obasanjo’s lamentation that Nigeria was fast becoming more disunited under Buhari’s watch.

The APC’s response was contained in a signed statement by Deputy spokesman, Yekini Nabena, who blasted Obasanjo’s latest statement on the grounds that he lacked the qualities to criticize Buhari’s administration, accusing Obasanjo and his former deputy, Atiku Abubakar, of being the architects of most of the country’s current woes, thereby making them unfit to advise Nigerians on the way forward.

Nabena, while challenging Obasanjo to give account of how his administration spent $16 billion on power without providing electricity, also  asked Atiku to account for privatization of some public assets during his stint as Vice President, adding that the successive People’s Democratic Party (PDP) administrations should also “account for the billions allegedly stolen under the “guise of a fraudulent fuel subsidy regime.”
