Obasanjo Is An Agent Of Distabilization, Disunity – Presidency

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWACTDHOG) – One-time military Head of State and civilian President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has been asked by the Presidency to help proffer solutions to the country’s several challenges, rather than being an agent of disunity.”

The presidency’s statement came on the heels of a recent statement by the former president that Nigeria was gradually turning into a Banana Republic.

According to the Presidency’s statement, despite Obasanjo’s several divisive and unrelenting attacks against the Buhari’led administration, the incumbent was focused on promoting national unity, lampooning Obasanjo for having descended from the Olympian heights of Commander-in-Chief, ”to the lowly level of Divider-in-Chief (to adapt the coinage of Time).”

The statement advised Obasanjo to “once again sheath the sword and rest the pretentiousness about the Messiah that has (mis)led him to pronounce often wrongly, as he disastrously did in the 2019 elections, about the life and death of Nigerian governments”, adding that Buhari’s comments on the sit tight syndrome among West African leaders was for the good of the sub region.
