COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 160 New Cases, Taking Total Confirmed Cases To 56, 177

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed on Saturday that Nigeria has recorded 160 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 56,177.

Breakdown of the new COVID19 cases in Nigeria, which are spread across 13 states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, is as follows: Plateau- 39, Lagos-30, Kaduna- 23, Katsina-7, Rivers-6, Oyo-6, Yobe-3, Benue-3, Bayelsa-1, Abia-1, Edo-1, and Ekiti-1.

Out of the total 56, 177 confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, according to the NCDC, 44,088 patients have been successfully treated and discharged, while 1,078 fatalities have been recorded so far.
