COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 100 New Cases, Taking Total Confirmed Infections To 55, 005


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced via its twitter handle that   Nigeria has recorded 100 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking total confirmed cases of the virus to 55,005.

Breakdown of the new cases of COVI-19 in Nigeria, which cut across 10 States of the federation, including the FCT, is as follows: Lagos: 39, FCT – 22, Kaduna – 19, Oyo-7, Ebonyi-6, Edo-3, Katsina-1, Ekiti-1, Bauchi-1 and Nasarawa-1.

Out of the 55,005 confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, 43,013 have been successfully treated and discharged, while 1,057 fatalities have been recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic.
