2023: Focus On Presidency, Not Biafra – Gov Ishaku To South-East

By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The quest for a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction come 2023 has received further boost with Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State lending his voice to the campaign.

However, the governor noted that there was need to continue with the zoning as had been the practice in the past, advising against adopting another strategy midway as the zoning arrangement was a formula that could keep Nigeria united.

Ishaku, who was speaking to the Sun, further added that the Igbo had a legitimate aspiration for the presidency, but adviced against their penchant to blackmail the country with threats of secession, adding that the quest for Biafra should be relegated to the past.

The governor added that the Igbo must stop reopening the sores of the Biafra ciris, which most of the current generation of Igbo youths did not experience, admonishing that what should matter more to them in the current dispension was working towards actualizing their dreams of an Igbo President in 2023.
