COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 239 New Cases, Bringing Total Infections To 54, 247

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced via a late-night tweet on its verified handle that the country has recorded 239 fresh cases of the dreaded COVID-19, taking total number of infections in the country to 54,247.

Breakdown of the fresh COVID-19 cases in Nigeria is as follows: Plateau- 116, Federal Capital Territory-33, Lagos-19, Ekiti-12, Kaduna-11, Ogun-11, Ebonyi-8, Benue-7, Abia-5, Delta-5, Ondo-4, Edo-3, Imo-2, Osun-2, and Bauchi-1.

Out of the of 54,247 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, 42,010 have been discharged, while 1,023 deaths have been so far recorded.
