Nigeria Set To Resume International Flights On August 29

By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Federal Government has set August 29, 2020, for the resumption of international flight operations.

The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, announced this on Monday in Abuja, during the routine briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, adding that the process for the recommencement of international flight operations in Nigeria would be similar to that of the resumption of domestic flights.

Sirika stated that the recommencement will simultaneously take effect from Saturday next week at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

While assuring that the guidelines for the recommencement of flight operations would soon be announced, the minister lauded Nigerians for their patience and cooperation while the ban lasted.
