COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria’s Confirmed Cases Hit 48,116, As 373 New Infections Are Recorded


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed in its latest update that Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases had reached 48,116, with the confirmation of 373 fresh cases.

Breakdown of the new cases, which are spread across nineteen states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is as follows: Lagos-69, Osun-40, Kaduna-41, Oyo – 40; FCT – 35; Plateau – 22; Rivers – 19; Kano – 17; Ondo – 17; Ogun – 15; Abia – 14; Gombe – 12 and Imo – 9, Enugu-7, Kwara – 6; Delta – 5; Niger – 2; Borno – 1; Bauchi – 1; and Nasarawa – 1.

Out of the 48,116 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, 34,309 have been discharged, with 966 fatalities recorded.
