Anti-Terror War: Foreign Powers Are Starving Us Of Weapons – Lai Mohammed

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCDOG) – The Federal Government has disclosed that unsubstantiated arguments are largely responsible for the international community’s reluctance to supply the country weapons to fight insecurity.

This was stated by Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Forum in Abuja on Thursday.

Mr Mohammed, while stressing that the war on terrorism could not be effectively prosecuted without adequate weapons, called on the international community to ignore unsubstantiated arguments and provide the country with vital platforms and weapons to fight insecurity, adding that the continued refusal to supply the country with “certain weapons”, which had been paid for, for more than two to three years, had negatively hampered the successful prosecution of the country’s anti-terror war.
