COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Confirms 437 New Cases, Taking Total Figures To 46, 577


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) –  The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed on Sunday night that the country had recorded 437 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of infections in the country to 46,577.

Breakdown of the new cases are as follows: Lagos-107, FCT- 91, Plateau-81, Kaduna – 32, Ogun – 30, Kwara – 24, Ebonyi – 19, Ekiti – 17, Oyo – eight, Borno – six, Edo – six, Kano – four, Nasarawa – three, Osun – three, Taraba – three, Gombe – two and Bauchi – one.

Out of the total 46,577 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, 33,186 have been discharged, while 945 fatalities have been recorded.
