COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Confirms 453 New Cases, Taking Total Infections To 46,140.


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday showed that Nigeria recorded 453 cases of COVID-19, taking the country’s total confirmed cases to 46,140.

Breakdown of the fresh cases, which are spread across 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, is as follows: FCT-75, Lagos-71,Benue-53, Delta-39, Borno-30, Enugu-25, Plateau-24, Osun – 20, Abia – 19, Oyo -17, Kaduna-16, Kano-13, Ebony-13, Ogun – 9, Kwara – 7, Ondo – 6, Gombe – 3, Ekiti – 2, Akwa Ibom – 1,  Rivers – 1.

Out of the total COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, 33,044 have been successfully treated and discharged, while 942 fatalities have been recorded so far.
