COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Confirms 354 More Cases, Taking Total Infections To 45, 244


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed on Thursday that the country had recorded 354 new COVID-19 cases, taking total figures to 45, 244

Breakdown of the country’s latest COVID-19 infections, which are spread across 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is as follows: FCT-78, Lagos – 76 – and  Kaduna-23, Ebonyi – 19; Oyo – 18;  Nasarawa – 17;  Rivers – 17; Delta -16; Kwara – 15; Akwa Ibom – 13; Edo – 12 and Ogun -12, Plateau – 11; Kano – 9; Bauchi – 6 ; Borno – 6 and Ekiti  -6.

Out of the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, 32,430 persons have been successfully treated and discharged, while 930 fatalities have been so far confirmed, according to the NCDC.
