COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 462 New Cases, Taking Total Infections To 43,151


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), in a tweet on Friday night,  disclosed that Nigeria had recorded 462 new cases of COVID-19, taking total infections to 43, 151.

Breakdown of the new infection are as follows: FCT-93, Lagos-78, Plateau – 64, Kaduna – 54, Oyo – 47, Ondo – 32, Adamawa – 23, Bauchi – 19, Rivers, Ogun and Delta each reporting 9 cases, Edo – 7, Kano and Enugu each reporting 6 cases, Nasarawa – 5 and Osun – 1.

Of the 43,151 confirmed cases, 19,565 have been successfully treated and discharged, while 879 fatalities have been recorded so far.
