COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 624 New Cases, Taking Total Infections To 41,804

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced via a late-night tweet that Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 624 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of infected persons in the country to 41,804.

Breakdown of the new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria is as follows: Lagos-212, Oyo-69, Niger (49), Kano (37), Osun (37), FCT (35, Plateau (34), Gombe (33), Edo (28), Enugu (28), Ebonyi (17), Delta (10), Katsina (9), Ogun (8), Rivers (7), Ondo (5), Kaduna (4) and Nasarawa (2).

Out of the country’s total log of COVID-19 cases, 18,764 have been successfully treated and discharged, while 868 fatalities have been recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic.
