COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Confirms 648 Fresh Cases, As Total Cases Hit 41, 180.


By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced via its verified Twitter handle late on Moday night that 648 fresh COVID-19 infections had been recorded by the country, taking the total number of infections in the country to 41, 180.

Breakdown of the new figures, which cut across 20 states of the federation, including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, are as follows: Lagos– 180, Plateau -148,  FCT – 44; Ondo – 42; Kwara – 38; Rivers -32; Oyo – 29; Kaduna – 21; and Osun – 20, Edo – 17; Ogun – 17; Ekiti – 11; Kano – 9; Benue – 9; Delta – 9; Abia – 9; Niger – 7; Gombe – 3; Borno – 1; Bauchi – 1; Imo -1.

Out of total confirmed infections in Nigeria, 860 fatalities have been recorded, while 18,203 cases have been successfully treated and discharged.
