Magu’s Probe Is A Pass Mark For Buhari’s War On Corruption – Malami

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The ongoing probe of suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, is a pass mark for the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration’s war on corruption, according to the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami.

Malami, who made this submission while speaking as a guest on NTA’s ‘One-on-One’ live programme said that rather than being an indictment on the level of corruption under Prseident Buhari’s tenure, as is being suggested in some quarters, Magu’s probe was proof of Buhari’s determination to see through his war on graft regardless of whose ox was gored in the process.

Speaking further, the AGF, who activated the process that led to Magu’s probe following a petition alleging that he mismanaged recovered assets and loots, said that President Buhari recognized no sacred cows in his war on corruption as he was focused on completely cleansing the system of every rot clogging the country’s growth.
