The World Bank Has Given Nigeria’s Economy Under Buhari A Pass Mark – Presidency

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Word Bank has given the Nigerian economy under President Muhammadu Buhari a pass mark, according to the Presidency.

According to Laolu Akande, Vice President Osinabjo’s spokesman, who disclosed this via a statement on Tuesday, the recognition came in the wake of the appreciable work of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), pointing out that the apex global banking institution also rated Nigeria higher in its annual “Ease of Doing Business Rankings”.

Akande quoted Osinbajo, who spoke at a virtual meeting of the PEBEC to review the state of the reforms across a number of government agencies, as saying that government’s reforms, through the PEBEC, had provided an opportunity to significantly boost local and foreign investments.
