COVID-19 BRIEFS: 562 Fresh Cases Recorded, Taking Total Infections In Nigeria To 37, 225


By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed late on Monday night that the country had recorded 562 fresh cases of the corona virus, taking total infections to 37, 225.

Breakdown of the fresh figures, which cut across 20 states, including the FCT, are as follows: Lagos –52, Plateau-52, Kwara – 50, Abia – 47,  Kaduna – 35,  Benue – 34,  Oyo – 26,  Ebonyi – 24,  Kano – 16, Niger – 15,  Anambra – 14, and Gombe – 12,  Edo – 11, Rivers – 6,  Nasarawa – 5,  Delta – 5,  Borno – 3,  Enugu – 2,  Bauchi – 2 and  Kebbi – 1.

NCDC further stated that out of the total 37, 225 reported cases in Nigeria,  15,333 have been discharged, having recovered fully, while 21, 082 cases are still active, with 801 fatalities.
