(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has attributed the massive overhauling of the state’s infrastructure to his prudent management of resources, adding that despite the economic challenges facing the country consequent to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, he was committed to the full implementation of his pre-election agenda for the state.
The Rivers State Governor, made the asserting during a media chat following an inspection tour of some ongoing projects in the state, such as the construction work at the official residence of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and the Rebisi flyover, among others, vowing to leave the state better than he met it on assuming office in 2015 by spreading development projects across the 23 Local Government Areas that would be legacies of his stewardship.
Wike pointed out that several development projects had been completed, while some were ongoing across the state, despite the outbreak the COVID-19 pandemic, due to his judicious management of available resources.
The governor lauded the quality of work done by a construction company that handled three major flyovers concurrently, including the expansion of the Rumuola flyover, noting that the company has the capacity to deliver on projects, hence his insistence that reputable companies should execute projects for the state government. Wike told the people of Rivers State to be patient as he was poised to deliver more development projects to them.
