FG Cash Transfer: “If Anybody Gives You Less Than N30, 000, Reject It” – Sadiya Farouq To Nigerians

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigerians benefiting from Federal Government’s Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) have been asked not to collect less than N30, 000 as grant from any government official by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Farouq, who said this on Saturday during a media chat in Gusau, Zamfara State.

According to Farouq, beneficiaries of the initiative will get a minimum of N30,000 and a maximum of N80,000, advicing that any officials disbursing anything short of the minimum amount of N30,000, should be reported to her or the state governor through dedicated telephone numbers made available.

Speaking further, Farouq said that the initiative was President Muhammadu Buhari administration’s way of providing palliatives for the country’s poor, unemployed and vulnerable.

Farouq said that the programme had not yet fully taken off in some states due to their unpreparedness as states were supposed to be ready in terms of their commitment and personnel involvement before the federal government could commence implementation of the pregramme.
