Evacuation: 324 Nigerians Expected From The US -Onyeama

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDWATCHDOG) – Another batch of 324 Nigerians, who were stranded in the United States of America consequent to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, are expected back in Nigeria today, courtesy the Federal Government, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.

According to Onyeama, who disclosed this via twitter on Saturday, the flight bearing the Nigerian evacuees will arrive Nigeria’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 15:35 pm today from Newark Airport, New Jersey.

Onyeama further said that two more batches of Nigerian returnees are expected from the US on July 28 and 31 respectively, following the evacuation on July 4 of 335 stranded citizens from the US.

Approximately 2,000 Nigerians have so far been evacuated from various parts of the world by the Nigerian Government.
