COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 600 New Cases, Taking Total Infections To 35, 454

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) –The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on Friday night via its verified twitter handle that Nigeria has recorded 600 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of infections in the country to 35,454.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows: Lagos-129, FCT-118, Oyo – 87, Kano – 55, Benue – 42, Enugu – 35, and Kwara – 28, Imo – 16, Ogun – 13, Kaduna, and Ondo having 12 cases, Delta and Edo having 11 cases and Plateau – 6, Nasarawa-6, Ekiti-6, Niger-6, Borno-4, Abia-4, Gombe – 3.

Out of the total 35,454 total cases so far recorded in the country, 14,633 have been discharged, having recovered, while 772 fatalities have been recorded since the outbreak of the virus.
