COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 595 News Cases, As Total Cases Hit 34, 854.


Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Official reports by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) states that the country has recorded 595 new cases of COVID-19, taking total figures to 34, 854.

Breakdown of the fresh figures, which are spread across twenty-three states of the federation, including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is as follows:  Lagos-156, Ondo-95, Rivers – 53,  Abia – 43,  Oyo – 38, Enugu – 29,  Edo – 24, FCT – 23,  Kaduna – 20,  Akwa Ibom – 17,  Anambra – 17, Osun – 17 Ogun  -14,  Kano – 13 and Imo – 11, Delta – 6, Ekiti – 5, Gombe – 4, Plateau – 4, Cross River – 2, Adamawa – 1,  Bauchi – 1,  Jigawa – 1 and Yobe – 1.

Out of the total34, 854 cases so far recorded in the country, 14, 292 have been discharged, having recovered, while 769 fatalities have been suffered by the country.
