#Magu: All Top EFCC Officials Suspended By President Buhari

By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Following ongoing investigations into the activities of the country’s apex anti-corruption body, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended all the senior officials of the agency, whose offices have been locked to prevent loss of any crucial evidence, reports the Daily Post.

According to the report, a presidency source revealed that the Commission’s executive Secretary Olanipekun Olukoyede was among the senior officials suspended by President Buhari for alleged fraudulent misdemeanours, adding that their suspension was meant to give room for an unhindered investigation of the plethora of allegations leveled against the anti-graft agency.

Mohammed Umar Abba, who replaced Magu as acting EFCC Chairman, following his suspension by President Buhari, was not affected by the suspension due to his clean record, according to the report.
