PDP Is “The Founder Of Corruption In Nigeria”, Not Buhari, APC – Yekini Nabena

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari are averse to corrupt practices of any form and will come down hard on anybody found culpable.

According to the APC, which was reacting to the insinuations of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that it condones corruption, the former ruling party’s allegations are baseless and mischievous, adding that it is common knowledge that the PDP was “the founder of corruption in Nigeria, to the extent that the evil practices were made an official way of life during its 16 wasteful years”.

The APC’s reaction was contained in a statement by its spoekesman, Mr. Yekini Nabena, who pointed out that the APC-led government did not recognize sacred cows in its war on corrupton, pointing to the ongoing investigation of the deposed acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC, Ibrahim Magu as a case in point, which according to him was unheard of during the PDP years when barefaced corrupt practices were overlooked because some persons were seen to be above the law.

According to Nabena, Nigerians should ignore the “fake lamentations of an unrepentant corrupt PDP”, which was crying wolf because it was no longer in power.
