By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – , Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, has alleged that Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are the godfathers of Ibrahim Magu, the embattled suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
According to Fani-Kayode, who spoke via his verified Twitter handle on Sunday evening, Magu did not work for President Muhammadu Buhari while at the helm of the anti-corruption body, but did the bidding of Osinbajo and Tinubu, adding that the current ordeal of the deposed EFCC boss, who is being probed over allegations of financial impropriety and abuse of office, was a culmination of a plan that was hatched years ago.
Fani-Kayode further disclosed that Magu’s trial was just a dress rehearsal for a wider probe that will involve his two “godfathers.”
Magu’s probe by the Justice Ayo Salami-led presidential panel is billed to continue on Monday, when he will be further questioned on the allegations of financial impropriety and gross abuse of office proffered against him.
