Covid-19 Briefs: Total Cases In Nigeria Now 31, 323, As 575 New Infections Are Recorded

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in a tweet via its official handle disclosed that Nigeria on Friday recorded 575 new cases of COVID-19, taking the country’s total caseload to 31,323.

Breakdown of the fresh cases are as follows: Lagos ( 224), Oyo (85), FCT(68), Rivers (49), Kaduna (39), Edo (31), Enugu (30), Delta (11), Niger (10), Katsina (9), Ebonyi (5), Gombe (3), Jigawa (3), Plateau (2), Nassarawa (2), Borno (2), Kano (1), and Abia (1).

Out of the total 31,323 confirmed cases in the country,12,795 have been discharged, after recovering from the ailment, while 709 fatalities have been suffered since the outbreak of the pandemic.
