Reps Commence Investigation Of Power Sector

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWTCHDOG) The Adhoc Committee of the House of Representatives, led by the majority leader of the house, Ado Doguwa, has commenced a probe of the power sector.

According to Doguwa, the power sector is beset with the issue of solvency, as billions are said to be owed gas suppliers, coupled with fact that income from tariffs are low.

The entire privatization process, which has shown no improvement in the power sector, despite billions of naira that have been sunk into it, would be covered by the probe.
