Edo Guber: I am Fit Enough To Succeed Obaseki, Ize-Iyamu Boasts, Slams PDP

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Following comments attributed to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that he is not fit to succeed incumbent Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, by wining the forthcoming September 19, 2020, Gubernatorial poll, consequent to a video in which he reportedly confessed to past wrongdoings, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) governorship candidate, has slammed the PDP’s position, calling it an empty, revisionist narrative intended to deceive Edo people.

John Mayaki, Ize-Iyamu’s campaign spokesman, conveyed his position, via a statement on Tuesday, in which the APC governorship candidate accused the PDP of engaging in deliberate misrepresentation of facts.

According to the statement, the PDP, consequent to the purported streaming of the video, was guilty of turning a blind eye to reason as it “embarked on a misguided mission to muddle things up”, and that “rather than achieve their desired damage, the video helped the public see the trajectory of this happenstance and the unscrupulous nature of the divided PDP.”

According to Mayaki, it was contradictory that the same PDP that campaigned for the same Ize-Iyamu with the same video in 2016, when he was the party’s governorship candidate, was now using the same video to disparage his person in the mad quest for power.
