Chimamanda Adichie Eulogizes Late Father, Says Death Has Changed Her Life


By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDWATCHDOG) – Award-winning author, Chimamanda Adichie, is full of grief over the demise of her father, James Adichie, on June 10, 2020, following a brief illness.

The writer, who is said to be stranded in the United States due to COVID-19 restrictions on international flights, expressed her grief via facebook on Sunday, July 5, 2020, lamenting that her father’s demise had transformed her life and views about life itself.

James Adichie was Nigeria’s first professor of Statistics, who studied Mathematics at the premier University of Ibadan, before proceeding to Berkeley where he obtained a PhD in Statistics, before coming back to Nigeria prelude to the Civil War.
